What happens when the grown ups run away to join the circus?

Travels with Mr. Bill,  chronicles the New Zealand adventures of two empty nesters, who jumped on the carousel and grabbed the brass ring.

I affectionately call my husband, Mr. Bill, as do our Kiwi friends. For the longest time, after relocating to New Zealand, I had mistakenly thought, that was how he was addressed at Whakatane Hospital, where is he a consultant general surgeon. Although he is called Mister, instead of Doctor, it is coupled with his surname.

We have, however, experienced more than one, “Oh No, Mr. Bill!”, moments during our travels but happily they have all ended well, unlike the hapless Mr. Bill, of  the  Saturday Night Live comedy skits.
